METIS PHOTOMETRIC STEREO 3D
Nowadays, in most applications (e.g. for industrial decor applications, but also for fine art reproduction), it is very important not only to capture color or a visual 3D appearance, but also to be able to calculate 3D data.
Since 2014, METIS scanners have the new and unique capability of calculate 3D data directly from 2D color data. In fact, after a long development, METIS has been capable of solving all technical and theoretical issues to apply the 3D Photometric Stereo technique to our scanners.
This combined with our scanner’s capability of obtaining a Glossiness map (unique in the world), confirms METIS as the most innovative and technologically advanced scanner manufacturer in the Decor Industry.
